Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{22720251,The detection of brain gliomas is a crucial clinical challenge that requires early, accurate diagnostic methods to improve patient outcomes. This work presents the development of a deep learning-based system for glioma detection, employing an ensemble of ResNet18, VGG16, and DenseNet121 models trained with MRI images. The preprocessing involved dataset curation, image normalisation, and mask generation through K-means clustering. The trained model was integrated into a web application, allowing users to upload images and receive immediate diagnostic feedback. Experimental results demonstrate promising accuracy rates and reliable segmentation performance. This research highlights the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to augment traditional medical imaging techniques and assist clinical diagnosis. |

Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{22720252,Air quality in Guadalajara has deteriorated in recent years, becoming a serious health concern for the local population. In response, this project seeks to mitigate the impact of pollution by developing a prediction platform based on ARIMA models implemented in Python. The system will analyse historical pollutant levels—including PM₂.₅, PM₁₀, SO₂, NO₂, O₃ and CO—enabling the anticipation of high-pollution episodes. Armed with this information, both citizens and authorities will be able to take timely preventative measures. Given the growing interest in air quality and its implications for health, this tool will furnish valuable data for informed decision-making. Moreover, it will facilitate trend analysis and permit short-term forecasts, helping to identify potential pollution episodes before they occur. |

Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{journal11424,The lack of attention to emergency alerts in road accidents in a timely manner may be due to the lack of management of resources or the lack of communication between hospital and patrol departments. The purpose of this research is to reduce the management time to provide attention to requests on highways. An alert and resource management process is proposed. This process will allow sending the optimized information in the shortest possible time. The experimentation was worked with a set of test instances and simulated in the laboratory using mechatronic devices to show the communication, coordination and attention in real time. The results obtained were acceptable, it was possible to identify the alert to be included in the algorithm which must comply with the restrictions and subsequently calculate the optimal route to be followed by the mechatronic device to reach the request node for the attention of the distress alert. |

Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{PAPER134,There is no recent comparison in the literature on the application of classical and machine learning methods for forecasting financial assets on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). These methods divide the time series into three sections: training, validation, and testing. They predict future values using the training data and are evaluated in the validation phase using error metrics; once the lowest error is obtained, the best parameters and algorithms are used to predict values using the test section. This paper aims to find the most accurate regression algorithm to make predictions in the financial time series of the BMV. The regression methods compared include linear regression, neural networks, decision trees, and support vector regression. The study uses historical BMV asset price data to compare the accuracy of each of these algorithms. |

Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{jj123d,This paper explores the innovative application of Quality of Service (QoS) principles, traditionally rooted in network and telecommunications, across various sectors to enhance the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By establishing a parallel between QoS in technological systems and sectors such as healthcare, education, energy, and urban development, we examine how these principles can be adapted to improve service delivery and efficiency in critical areas of sustainable development. The core premise is that methodologies used to optimize data flow and service reliability in networks can similarly enhance the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of essential services. This study conducts a comprehensive comparative analysis to illustrate the potential of QoS frameworks in promoting efficiency, effectiveness, and equity across multiple domains of the SDGs. Key areas of focus include enhancing healthcare outcomes, increasing educational accessibility, ensuring sustainable energy use, and improving urban infrastructure. The findings advocate for a cross-disciplinary approach to applying QoS principles, suggesting that such integration can lead to substantial improvements in service delivery and contribute significantly to global sustainable development efforts. |

Abstract | Links | BibTeX | Tags: CONAHCYT, ESCI @article{jj123e,Depression is a disorder that usually begins in early adulthood, having a duration according to the World Health Organization (WHO) from a couple of months to a couple of years, however, in approximately 20% of cases there is a chronic evolution that results in a high mortality rate by suicide due to lack of adequate treatment. Therefore, the objective of this project is to facilitate the tools for an adequate care of depression, mainly in young adults through the development of a mobile application that monitors patients. To carry out the project, the enhanced cascade model was implemented, because the feedback between the different phases of the system development life cycle is important to make the appropriate modifications. The application of interviews and the use of brainstorming were the selected way in which all the system requirements were designed and the goals to be met by the system were adequately defined. |

In this article, we proposed a survey of the complexity on Fuzzy Logic for air quality. The traditional air quality assessment is estimated using air quality indices as mean values of selected air pollutants, where the ambient environment has given limits without considering specific local conditions and synergic relations between air pollutants and other meteorological factors. Different models analyze the structure of data to find the characteristics of air quality similarities and to interpret the classification results by means of fuzzy logic. |
